Materials 101: What You Need to Know

Our garden furniture is crafted from premium materials, featuring a diverse selection such as Rattan, Aluminium, Rope, and Outdoor Fabric. Rope
Rope has emerged as the latest trend in garden furniture materials. Although it has been popular in Europe for several years, it is just beginning to gain traction in UK gardens. The 6mm Olefin rope is intricately hand-woven around a rustproof aluminum frame, ensuring a completely weather-resistant product.
Engineered for year-round outdoor use, Rope withstands UV rays, saltwater, frost, and snow. This beautiful, contemporary collection, which includes the Jude family, is backed by a 3-year warranty.
Fabric
Our fabric collection features aluminum frames, quick-dry foam, and weather-resistant fabric developed in collaboration with Sunbrella. This combination ensures that the furniture is both weatherproof and rust-resistant, allowing it to remain outdoors throughout the year without fading or degrading.
The Sunbrella fabric effectively repels light rain, causing water to bead and roll off. In the case of heavy downpours, the quick-dry foam allows water to pass through and drain quickly, typically drying within an hour under sunlight.
Additionally, the furniture is highly resistant to stains, with substances like chocolate, ketchup, wine, and soda easily removable if addressed promptly. A simple solution of tap water or soapy water is usually sufficient for cleaning.

Rattan
All of our rattan furniture is crafted in the Far East. Each piece is handmade and handwoven, resulting in unique variations in the weave and color, which are completely natural. We treat the rattan with a UV additive, enhancing its flexibility and enabling us to design a wide array of furniture styles and shapes. This added flexibility also helps to prevent cracking or breaking of the rattan.
Our rattan furniture features four unique weaves: flat, half-moon, wide, and ‘M’ weave. For a detailed overview, check below.
Wide weave
The wide weave features a 15mm flat design supported by rod weaving, with a rod weave finish on the arms. Exclusive to our Oyster collection, it includes 8mm tempered glass tops and is available in a single color: Oyster. This weave is backed by a 7-year warranty.
Flat weave / Classic
The Classic collection showcases a flat weave design in various ranges, including Cambridge, Amelia, Olivia, Ruxley, and Sienna, among others. Each piece features 7mm weave strands and is topped with 5mm tempered glass.
These flat weave furniture items are backed by a 5-year warranty and are available in two color choices: brown and grey.
'M' weave
The ‘M’ weave is part of the Heritage collection and is a 7mm ‘M’ rattan weave with a full rod finish. It’s also referred to having a ‘double skin’, too.
This collection comes with 8mm tempered glass tops on all dining sets and 5mm on all casual dining. It also has a 5-year warranty.
Half moon weave
The half round weave, often called the half-moon rod weave, showcases intricate full rod detailing. Measuring 7mm, this design is termed a ‘double skin’ due to the rattan encasing both the interior and exterior of the frame.
This weave is prominently featured in our Heritage collection, which includes the Camila, Carolina, Leeanna, Thalia, Ciara, and Skylar ranges, among others. It is backed by a 7-year warranty and is available in two elegant colors: willow and whitewash. Additionally, all dining sets in this collection are topped with 8mm tempered glass, while casual dining options come with 5mm glass tops.
